Rhinoplasty to improve the appearance of the nose in a younger female

Preservation rhinoplasty is an advanced technique utilized by some of the top plastic surgeons worldwide. This specific approach allows surgeons to reshape the nose while minimizing disruption of native anatomy. 

Preservation rhinoplasty, similar to other nasal surgery, can treat both the internal and external aspects of the nose. A deviated septum or chronic sinus allergies can be improved, in addition to reducing a bump and narrowing a bulbous tip. A majority of rhinoplasty patients want to improve their profile, ie. reduce a bump and/or lift a droopy nasal tip.

This patient consulted with Washington DC rhinoplasty surgeon Dr. Chaboki to review options. Consultation with Dr. Chaboki, one of only a few select surgeons who perform preservation rhinoplasty, allowed the patient to review potential rhinoplasty options to improve the appearance of the nose. Examination revealed a deviated nasal septum, nasal bump, and droopy tip. The nasal tip also dipped further with smiling.

The patient underwent a preservation rhinoplasty via a closed approach by Dr. Chaboki, in addition to septoplasty and turbinate reduction. An external scar was avoided in this advanced technique. Osteotomy (bone reshaping) was required to reduce the bump. The bump was not shaved, rather it was pushed down to create a smooth profile. 

After photographs are several weeks after plastic surgery, which demonstrates natural results. The appearance of the nose will continue to be refined as the rhinoplasty swelling resolves. Plastic surgeons generally advise that it takes several months to a year or longer for "final" results. The patient has referred friends and family to Dr. Chaboki for his expertise in facial plastic surgery.
