Nonsurgical options have exploded over the years in Washington DC, with liquid facelift treatments such as Botox® Cosmetic and facial fillers. Restylane® and Juvederm® are some of several facial fillers that are commonly used to enhance the face. These fillers are a soft gel made from a hyaluronic acid that improves an area by adding volume. Dr. Chaboki, a board certified facial plastic surgeon, avoids over treatment to maintain subtle and natural improvement.
This young woman wanted to improve dark circles in the lower eyelid without surgery and consulted with Dr. Chaboki to review nonsurgical options. She always had dark circles from a young age and had tried over-the-counter skin products without success. She underwent Restylane injections in the office to help improve the appearance of the dark circles and upper cheek areas. In addition, she started medical-grade skin care products to further improve dark circles. After results are very early after nonsurgical treatment, as "final" results continue to improve with time.
Fillers can help revitalize your appearance by reducing the shadows under the eyes to reduce dark circles or hollow eyes. Your results can be achieved quickly or over several months, depending on your anatomy, goals, and schedule. Dr. Chaboki works with you to achieve desired results.
During the active phase of treatment, several syringes of facial filler are typical. Facial filler results depend on several factors such as specific filler material, area of treatment, and amount of filler injected. Additional filler may be used to finesse results after several weeks, if needed. This patient plans further treatments with Dr. Chaboki. Once desired results are achieved, patients often return every 6-12 months for evaluation and maintenance touch-up treatments.
