Angel joined as an Administrative Assistant with over 12 years of experience in the medical field. She holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Prince Georges Community College.
For 5 years, Angel worked as a Dental Assistant at Capitol Hill Dental Associates under Dr. Thomas Malone. Her duties included patient registration, sterilization and disinfecting instruments and equipment, and obtaining patients' dental records. Angel assisted with making patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair and prepared them for treatment.
Angel went on to be Patient Service Specialist for the Medical Faculty Associates Department of Medicine where she assisted in many areas of medicine, including Dentistry, Gastroenterology and Internal medicine. Angel enjoyed all of the many different specialties and plans to continue to enhance her interest and skills by pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in the health and medical field. Angel would like to become a supervisor so that she can work more closely with the doctors and have an even more vital role in patient care.
Angel has always been fortunate enough to have jobs where she can be of service. Angel's first priority is making sure that her patients are comfortable and their needs are met in a very professional manner. Angel loves to travel and spend time with her family when she is not working.
Donald Flemmings, SFC, USA, RET
Don joined Medical Faculty Associates in 2008 after 20 years of military service as an Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist. He taught at the Health and Science Academy as a clinical instructor of Plastic Surgery and Otolaryngology at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. As supervisor of the ENT Clinic at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Don supervised the enlisted personnel and worked side-by-side with attending and resident surgical specialists. He helped treat wounded servicemen from various international conflicts.
Don assists Dr. Chaboki for cosmetic and reconstructive surgery procedures at our Washington, DC office, and provides support for postoperative patients following plastic surgery. His cheerful and energetic presence makes patients feel comfortable. During his off time, he enjoys playing baseball, basketball, and football, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Donna Simonton, BSN, MHPE
Donna joined as Clinical Coordinator in 2007. She has a Bachelors degree in nursing from the College of Nursing and a Masters degree in health professions education from the College of Medicine of the University of Illinois at Chicago. She combines careers in nursing, medical education, and music.
After over 30 years of perioperative nursing, she changed her focus in 2002 to otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery nursing, first at the National Institutes of Health, and now at the George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates. Her surgical specialties include facial plastic surgery, otolaryngology, craniofacial, cardiothoracic, orthopedic, and neurosurgery. In education, she has started clinical education / simulation centers at George Washington and Johns Hopkins Universities and the University of Illinois, and continues to consult at Baltimore-Washington area medical schools. As a professional singer and conductor, she maintains a very active opera, recital, choral, and sacred music career.
Donna is warm and friendly, with a fine attention to detail, and helps alleviate patient anxiety.
