Heavy, excess skin around the eyes develop gradually with age to varying degrees. As a result,  eyelid surgery is a popular option to appear more rested and rejuvenated without necessarily looking different. Plastic surgery of the upper eyelid (upper blepharoplasty) reduces excess skin to make eyes appear more open and less heavy.

This woman developed too much upper eyelid skin with time, which covered her eyelashes and were bothersome. She had considered upper blepharoplasty for several years but was afraid of a drastic change and looking different. She consulted with cosmetic facial surgeon Dr. Chaboki in his downtown Washington DC office to review options.

She underwent upper eyelid surgery in the office via awake anesthesia. This type of eye lift is often performed in the office via awake, local anesthesia. Dr. Chaboki is able to perform various cosmetic facial procedures with similar local anesthesia per patient request, such as a mini facelift. After photographs are a few weeks after eyelid surgery. Her results are natural with eyes that are now more open.

If you like the results you see here, request a consultation to learn more about how this procedure can help you achieve your ideal appearance. We encourage you to print your favorite photos and bring them with you during your consultation to help communicate your goals and expectations.

Keep in mind that each patient is unique and results may not occur for all patients. These photos are of an actual patient of our practice who has provided consent to display their pictures online.
