Septorhinoplasty with turbinate reduction to improve the shape and function of the nose of a younger woman

A nasal hump and droopy tip are some of the most common reasons patients seek rhinoplasty, plastic surgery of the nose. The nasal hump typically develops as a teenager and may be associated with a deviated septum. This Washington area woman had chronic nasal congestion and blocked breathing. She also disliked the deviated appearance of the nose, along with the nasal hump and droopy tip. She underwent a closed rhinoplasty, septoplasty, and turbinate reduction. Her own cartilage from the septoplasty was used to reshape the nose. She now has a proportioned nose with improved nasal breathing.
