Closed rhinoplasty to reduce the nasal bump of a young woman
Before & After
Sinus allergies are very common for patients living in Washington DC. Sinus surgery with rhinoplasty or septoplasty may be appropriate options for patients with chronic nasal congestion despite allergy treatment. Sinus surgery in patients with a deviated septum can vary from relatively minor to more complicated. Sinus surgery patients may also combine cosmetic improvement of their nose in addition to surgery to improve their breathing.
This woman had chronic sinus and nasal symptoms with chronic sinus congestion. In addition to improving her sinuses, she wanted to improve her nose by balancing the profile. She consulted with other Washington area rhinoplasty specialists before meeting Dr. Chaboki, a facial plastic surgeon. Computer simulation imaging prior to surgery allowed her to visualize potential results with rhinoplasty.
She underwent septoplasty, sinus surgery, and cosmetic rhinoplasty via a "closed" approach, without external incisions. Desiring conservative changes, the nasal bump was reduced and the nasal tip set back. Dr. Chaboki recommends specific procedures that are appropriate for each patient to help create natural results.
