Mini facelift to improve loose neck skin in a middle-aged woman
Loose neck skin gradually develops with age. Despite diet and exercise, fat may also accumulate under the chin over time. Each anatomic factor plays a varying role in patients to create an aging neck or submental fullness (a double chin). As a result, the best plastic surgeons will tailor facelift surgery based on a patient's anatomy and personal preferences.
This woman had been treated by Dr. Chaboki over the years, including BOTOX® treatments, facial fillers, and eyelid surgery. While plastic surgeons can modify one's appearance, they can't "stop the clock" of facial aging. She continued to develop loose skin, along the jawline, jowls, and neck. She asked Dr. Chaboki, a facelift specialist in Washington, D.C., to perform cosmetic facelift surgery.
She underwent a mini facelift in the office via local anesthesia. While awake and comfortable, Dr. Chaboki lifted the lower face and neck for a natural and rejuvenated appearance. No liposuction was performed, as she did not have excess neck fat in her case. Before and after results demonstrate results several months after plastic surgery.
