Chin Augmentation with silicone implant to balance the facial proportions of a middle-aged man
Washington DC plastic surgeons generally assess the entire face during a cosmetic surgery consultation, not just a specific facial area. A small chin relative to the face creates unbalance, so more attention is drawn to other areas such as the nose or neck. Patients with a weak chin may benefit from chin augmentation with a silicone implant, neck liposuction, and/or a lower facelift.
This Washington DC area patient consider various cosmetic procedures to improve his chin and jawline. Cosmetic surgery consultation with Dr. Chaboki allowed him to visualize potential results with plastic surgery via computer simulation. He wasn't ready for neck liposuction or a lower facelift and was primarily interested in a more square shaped chin. He underwent chin augmentation with a silicone implant to improve the "double" chin. Chin implant surgery is an outpatient procedure performed via a small hidden incision under the chin. His lower jawline and chin are now better balanced with the rest of his face.
