Upper eyelid surgery is not just for older patients. Many patients can be candidates for cosmetic surgery.

This patient reported heaviness in her eyes and disliked excess skin touching her lashes. She thought she was possibly too young for plastic surgery. She was referred by a friend to see Dr. Chaboki, a facial plastic surgeon in DC, to review potential options.

Examination revealed excess upper eyelid skin, which she was born with. Brow position was good, and she did not have droopy eyelids (ptosis). Dr. Chaboki performed a conservative upper eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) to help open the eyes for a refreshed, natural appearance.
