Asian Eyelid Surgery Before & After Case 364
Provider: Houtan Chaboki, M.D.
Procedures Performed Asian Eyelid Surgery, Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery), Asian Eyelid Surgery
Patient Age 35
Patient Gender Female
Prior Surgery false
This patient had long considered upper eyelid surgery. She wanted plastic surgery as a teenager. Her primary concern was asymmetry between the lids and the absence of a defined upper eyelid crease. She preferred a conservative outcome with a small crease rather than a dramatic change. As a nurse practitioner, she was familiar with plastic surgery and previously had chin liposuction and chin augmentation with an implant.
The patient chose Dr. Houtan Chaboki for his expertise and subtle approach. He performed upper blepharoplasty under awake local anesthesia. A small amount of skin was removed to help form a double eyelid crease, and internal sutures were placed to help define it. The procedure did not require general anesthesia, and the patient remained comfortable throughout.
In the before photos, the upper lids show minimal crease definition and visible asymmetry between the two sides. The after photos, taken a couple of months after surgery, show a more defined upper eyelid crease on each side, with greater symmetry between the lids. The skin incision remains slightly pink at this point and continues to fade over time. For those researching asian eyelid surgery in Washington DC & Arlington, this case illustrates how the procedure can address eyelid asymmetry and create a crease while keeping the change modest and proportionate to the surrounding features.
The closed-eye after photos further show the lid contour and the incision line, which follows the natural fold and sits low on the lid consistent with the patient's preference for a small crease.
