Revision rhinoplasty may be considered after the original rhinoplasty surgery to further improve the nasal appearance or breathing. Some revision plastic surgery procedures are much easier than other rhinoplasty surgeries. Revision procedures are generally not performed right away, but after sufficient time is allowed from the first procedure.

This gentleman sustained a nasal fracture years previously and sought consultation with Dr. Chaboki, a Washington DC rhinoplasty specialist. He reported worsening of his nasal symmetry and persistant nasal congestion since the injury. Examination revealed deviated nasal bones and septum. After reviewing plastic surgery options with Dr. Chaboki, he underwent revision rhinoplasty via an endonasal or closed approach, without any external incisions. He wanted to return to his preinjury appearance without cosmetic rhinoplasty. The endonasal septrorhinoplasty has improved his nasal symmetry and breathing.
