Facial cosmetic surgery patients frequently want liposuction of the neck, cheeks, jawline, or face. Liposuction is a great option for the neck and a double chin (i.e. submental fullness). However, liposuction has generally not been a great option for the face or cheeks. Liposuction is usually better for broad regions (ex. neck and abdomen) and doesn’t work as well for smaller areas (ex. cheeks). Plastic surgery with direct reduction of the fat is usually a better option for these focused areas for safe, natural results.

Buccal fat reduction to sculpt the face is the preferred choice for patients with excess facial fat. Buccal fat reduction patients tend to be younger who were born with excess facial fat, which doesn't normally respond to a healthy diet and exercise. This minor procedure uses small incisions inside the mouth to enhance one's appearance. Patients who are candidates for buccal fat reduction are often also candidates for other facial procedures, including chin augmentation and neck liposuction.

The Washington DC woman want to improve her appearance and consulted with facial plastic surgeon Dr. Chaboki. With computer simulation and professional guidance from a trusted surgeon, she chose multiple procedures to sculpt her face. Before and after photographs demonstrate 6 month results after buccal fat reduction, chin augmentation with a large silicone implant, neck liposuction, and rhinoplasty. Buccal fat reduction can be performed in isolation or combined with other procedures.

If you like the results you see here, request a consultation to learn more about how this procedure can help you achieve your ideal appearance. We encourage you to print your favorite photos and bring them with you during your consultation to help communicate your goals and expectations.
