Revision rhinoplasty may be performed for any reason. Plastic surgeons generally prefer to wait a sufficient time after the original cosmetic procedure before considering revision rhinoplasty. Revision rhinoplasty is considered by plastic surgeons universally to be a very complicated procedure. All imperfections cannot be corrected

This woman has had more than 3 previous rhinoplasty surgeries by other surgeons over the years. She still felt her nose was too wide and asymmetric. She was referred to Dr. Chaboki by another plastic surgeon. Despite her disappointment with the previous procedures, she was willing to proceed with another surgery and consulted with revision rhinoplasty specialist Dr. Chaboki to discuss possible options.

Examination of before photographs reveals thick skin, bulbous tip, asymmetric nostrils, and a bump. After reviewing revision rhinoplasty options with Dr. Chaboki, she underwent revision rhinoplasty to narrow the nostrils, elevate the tip, reduce the hump, and improve symmetry. Photographs 1 year after revision rhinoplasty show the nose is now more balanced and proportionate.
