Upper Blepharoplasty and dermal filler to rejuvenate the ocular area in a younger woman

Eyelid rejuvenation is popular among Washington DC plastic surgery patients. A droopy eyelid, sagging brow, excess skin and fat, and wrinkles around the eyes develop automatically with age. Tissue changes with the eyes can be present from an early age, as even young patients can have dark circles or lower eye bags.

No one can “stop the clock” of gradual tissue change of aging, but plastic surgeons can improve one's appearance. Eyelid rejuvenation surgery is one option to make one appear more rested without looking different. Cosmetic surgery of the eyelid (blepharoplasty) reduces excess skin and/or fat to create eyes that appear more open and less droopy. An eye lift of the upper eyelid may be performed in the office via local anesthesia, while lower eyelid surgery or brow lift surgery more likely requires IV sedation or general anesthesia.

This woman disliked excess skin of the upper eyes, which crowded her eyelashes and made her eyes appear smaller.
