Financing & Fees

We are dedicated to providing the finest in plastic surgery at affordable prices. Many simple procedures can be performed in the office as an out-patient procedure - a hospital stay is rarely required. Eliminating the hospital stay reduces the cost dramatically. Dr. Houtan Chaboki participates with most insurance plans. He is the only DC plastic surgery practice in the area with such a comprehensive participation with a wide range of insurance plans.

Will My Insurance Cover Plastic Surgery?

The majority of cosmetic surgery is elective, so insurance plans don't usually cover it. However, there are exceptions. Remember, plastic surgery covers a broad area of medicine which includes both reconstructive procedures and cosmetic procedures. If your procedure is medically indicated, some portion of the cost may be covered. Our office accepts insurance in applicable cases and will, if you wish, contact your insurance company to find out if your procedure will be covered.

Many patients prefer to use their credit card for payment. We accept all of the major credit cards.

What Does Plastic Surgery Cost?

Only after a complete evaluation, discussing the specific procedure or procedures which interest you and determining the extent of the proposed surgery, and surgery location, can we tell you how much your procedure will cost. At the time of your consultation, all fees will be outlined so that you have no surprises following surgery.

The cost of plastic surgery involves several charges for the services provided. The total fees include the surgeon's fee for performing the procedure, cost of surgical supplies, anesthesia, laboratory tests, and hospital operating room and facility charges. Depending on whether the cost of plastic surgery is covered by your insurance plan, you will be responsible for appropriate co-payments, deductibles, and charges not covered. The surgeon's fee is for performing procedure, and not for results. No results are are guaranteed. Hospital operating room and anesthesia fees are handled by the facility itself and separate from the surgeon's office. Estimates of the anesthesia and hospital fees are provided. Additional unforeseen costs may occur should secondary surgery or hospital stay may be required, which would be the patient's responsibility.
